Natura International is involved on an advisory basis in the new Life+ Nature Project Protecting Lesser Spotted Eagle on Selected Natura 2000 sites in NE Poland. This 4.5 mln EUR project will restore favourable conditions for this species in Bialowieza and Knyszynska Forests - some of the last near-primeval forests in lowland Europe.

Dr Britt Cordi spoke on the Regional TV about the role of Lesser Spotted Eagle as a flagship species for all wildlife associated with low-intensive farming in the North-East Poland.
